Barrovians love their dogs, a fact confirmed by recent research into the town’s top hobbies and pastimes. So we thought a celebration of our canine friends was in order and ‘Dog Days’ was born!
Developed as a part of our ‘You’ll Need Your Big Coat’ outdoor performance programme, ‘Dog Days’ combines puppetry and storytelling to create fun, lively, family focussed pop-up performances staged in Abbots Wood, How Tun Woods and at Sandy Gap, Walney; all popular dog walking beauty spots.
Puppet makers Aya Nakamura and Karen Whatley have joined forces to create a pack of canine friends for you to meet but one of them, an ENORMOUS Border Collie is lost! The sheep have escaped and he is nowhere to be seen (or is he?). Can you help us find him?
