Anthems For The Pub

The pub is much more than a place where you go and get drunk. It’s a hub for all walks of life, it doesn’t matter if you are 18 or 81 you can always find a like minded person or just a random stranger to chew the fat or share a bag of crisps with. From the barmaid who knows what you drink as soon as you walk in to the old boys in the corner slamming down the dominoes or the small frail lady who sits by the jukebox gently pushing you towards picking her favourite Marty Robbins tune. The town can change but the boozer is a time capsule; so many memories of nights out, triumphs, embarrassments, life long mates, music and dancing. 

Trying to capture all this history into one track was just not going to happen! So we have created a ten track ode to the boozer! We go through a journey hearing tales of first pints, first gigs and a step back in time to some pubs that are no longer here. 

We conducted interviews over zoom and the voices on the tracks are the stories straight from the horse’s mouth. 

We really hope you enjoy it as much as we had fun putting it together
