Another big build for Allotment Tales was ‘The Shed’. We needed a puppet booth for the shadow puppet scenes, but wanted something in keeping with the allotment. A shed was the answer!
The build had to be as environmentally friendly as possible, so we committed to using reclaimed pallets and doors. Several were donated from Dropzone, a local Youth Group we work with, and others were collected from shops that were happy to see their waste recycled.
The shed had to be fully collapsible, reusable, safe, small enough to fit into a van but large enough to allow 2 puppeteers inside. A tough brief which fell to Clinton Rimmer (Art Gene), Dan Hardie and Karen Evans (TheatreFactory) to complete.
