1912 and all is not well in Barrow. There has been a worldwide slump in the price of Steel and the Barrow Hematite Steel Company shed over 2000 workers. Mr Dean, foundry man and general dogsbody, can no longer provide for his family. What will he do?
Mr Dean’s Marvellous Trip began life based on a true story of a young Edwardian man from Barrow who journeyed to New York to join a Wild West show on Coney Island, but grew into something far stranger.
With the skill of a contortionist, Theatre Factory jammed suffragettes, mind readers, fortune tellers and elephants into a story of leaving home to make ends meet.
A show for all the family, funny, poignant and sometimes downright daft!
