Written by C Byrnes and specially commissioned for Barrow Youth Theatre,
Wonderland is set in a drab, smalltown nightclub... Adam is considering taking ecstasy... weighing up the highs against the lows.
C Byrne’s script is funny and streetwise, blending the words of John Milton and Shakespeare with the language of the dancefloor. Indie/ambient soundtrack including Radiohead, The Verve, Air and Moby.
After a preview performance at Forum 28 on Tuesday 22 August 2000, Barrow Youth Theatre performed Wonderland at the Northern Lines Festival at Live Theatre in Newcastle on Saturday 26 August 2000.
